Don Carlo Cavina School (DCCS) was established in 1988 in Las Piñas in response to the need for Catholic education in the community. The school traces its roots to 1986 when the Daughters of St. Francis de Sales arrived from Italy and began nurturing the spiritual needs of children in Talon through religion classes. Seeing the children’s limited access to proper facilities and quality education, the Sisters were inspired to build a school dedicated to the education of the youth. Despite humble beginnings, DCCS opened with 198 pupils and quickly grew in both population and reputation.

Within six years, DCCS became a full K–6 elementary school recognized for its outstanding academic performance, even ranking 95th nationwide in the National Elementary Aptitude Test. As enrollment steadily increased, additional buildings and facilities were constructed to accommodate the growing student body. What began with only four teachers expanded into a strong academic community composed of sisters, faculty, and staff committed to Catholic values and academic excellence.

In 1997, Don Carlo Cavina High School was established after much prayer and encouragement from parents, marking another milestone in the school’s mission. From a small group of pioneer students, the high school department grew significantly and has since produced graduates who excel in higher education and various professional fields. Today, DCCS continues to uphold its mission of forming morally upright, God-fearing, and socially responsible individuals dedicated to serving the nation and the Church.
