University of the Philippines Los Banos

Established on March 6, 1909, the University of the Philippines Los Baños (UPLB) is a premier public research university and a constituent member of the University of the Philippines System. Located at the foot of the scenic Mount Makiling in Laguna, UPLB is the system's largest campus by land area and manages the Mount Makiling Forest Reserve, an ASEAN Heritage Park. Originally founded as the UP College of Agriculture, it has evolved into a multidisciplinary powerhouse recognized globally for its contributions to agriculture, forestry, and environmental science.

The university is a hub for innovation, hosting international research centers like the International Rice Research Institute (IRRI) and the Southeast Asian Regional Center for Graduate Study and Research in Agriculture (SEARCA).
