Sorsogon State University

Sorsogon State College (SSC), now known as Sorsogon State University (SorSU), is a public higher education institution in Sorsogon City, Bicol Region. Established in 1993 through Republic Act No. 7666, it originated as Sorsogon Trade School in 1907—one of the oldest trade schools in the Philippines. The university serves as the main campus housing the Office of the President and key administrative offices, and is home to four colleges: College of Technology, College of Teacher Education, College of Business and Management, and the newly established College of Health and Science. It also offers doctoral and master's degrees through the School of Graduate Studies.

SorSU provides a practical, technology‑oriented learning environment combining classroom instruction with hands‑on experience in technology, education, business, and health sciences. The university offers a wide range of academic programs including undergraduate programs, doctoral and master's degrees, and a Laboratory High School providing both Junior and Senior High School education. It boasts the largest library in the province and serves as the university's largest campus in terms of student population.
