Bohol Island State University (BISU) is a public, multi‑campus higher education institution and the only state university in the province of Bohol, Philippines. Established on October 14, 2009, through Republic Act 9722, BISU was created by converting the Central Visayas State College of Agriculture, Forestry and Technology (CVSCAFT) and its units and satellite campuses in Tagbilaran City, Bilar, Candijay, Clarin, Calape, and Balilihan into a single university. The university is composed of five independent vocational and technical public schools integrated under one institution, offering a wide range of programs in engineering, teacher education, agriculture, business, and information technology.
