Overview

Batangas State University (BatStateU), formerly known as Philippine Bureau of Mines and Technical Institute (PBMIT), is a Level IV state university located in the CALABARZON Region. Established in 1903, BatStateU has grown into one of the largest state universities in the country, serving more than 50,000 students and close to 2,000 faculty and staff across 11 campuses. The university is strategically located in the second‑largest economic region in the Philippines, providing strong linkages with industry, government, and business sectors.

BatStateU is recognized as a National Center of Excellence in Engineering and Development Communication, and a Center of Development in Teacher Education, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and other fields.
